Character Introductions
A SPOILER filled character summary and introductions to the iconic roles played by Hanna
Seo Dalmi's (Bae Suzy) older sister that was accused of abandoning her own surname. Injae was previously the CEO of Nature Morning under Morning Group until her blind stepfather decided that his fool of a biological son was better than his smart and Wharton graduate stepdaughter and forced her out of Korea.
Decided that she was too smart to be his puppet anymore and wanted to start from bottom up in Sandbox where everyone else also applied to; obviously got in and then slowly made her way up as an emerging newbie.
Has a few stumbles and adopted her sister after they disbanded and managed to raise 2 companies by herself despite not having much screentime. The only rational character with a few irrational decisions to make her seem more human and less perfect (although it didn't succeed).
TLDR: Had gorgeous outfits, spit fire all the time with her flawless diction and acting was on point.
Seo Injae
NIS Agent and saddest character of the entire show. Nagyeong works in the NIS to prevent terrorism but obviously didn't succeed so she has to work hard now to catch the bad guys whom they term as VIP. Her fiance was supposedly dead in the bombing, was actually alive and died in front of her while taking a bullet. Nagyeong had the support of the Acting President, her puppy junior and cool senior towards the end; jumped into the fire pit countless times and survived them all. Literally gets hurt in every 2 episodes... From car accidents to kidnapping to human bomb detonator. One of the most realistic NIS runaway agent from her wardrobe and lack of dressing up (still managed to look good all the time). In the end, she and her team didn't find the VIP of the VIP but still managed to succeed somehow.
TLDR: Cat with 9 lives, patriotic as heck and probably the head of her team now.
Han Nagyeong
Jung Yoojin
An architect from a chaebol family. Second generation chaebol who's smart but has to survive with a less bright oppa as the CEO, but has her oppa in her palms at least. Yoojin fell in love with another architect who's mum is know the caretaker of her ailing father, so they went from lovers to step siblings technically. Strikes an adorable friendship with the male lead and isn't an annoying second female lead to the female lead; is actually a softie on the inside and equally hurt from all the first generation issues. Yoojin decides to be the mature one in the relationship and family in the end and shows us that she needs to man to build buildings.
Respectful and poised despite her oppa being rather indecisive, unfortunately controlled and bad at being sympathetic; thankfully remained rational when making decisions.
TLDR: Victim of unfortunate circumstances, but made the best of everything and had the cutest bond with the male lead.
Spoilt chaebol daughter that you can't hate. Everyone had a crush on Hyewon in college cause she's rich, pretty and plays the cello. Married to the male lead in an alternate universe. An innocent, whiny but endearing princess that teaches the cello in college now and ends up getting tempted by a gold-digger young college boy. Realises that the young, attentive and scheming boy is more attractive than her male lead husband and falls hard. Hyewon ultimately gets tricked but comes to her senses quickly, and surprisingly still helps to stand up for the boy in front of snobby rich ahjummas because she's nice. Everything gets reset so Hyewon and the boy meet under different circumstances in the end.
TLDR: Literally chaebol heir with no interest in management and does what she wants but means no harm and is just a pure, aegyo-filled and easily swayed princess.

Hwangbo Yeonhwa
The King's only daughter and smartest person in the Palace. Yeonhwa was initially a sweetheart that the King and her brothers adored, fiercely protective of her family yet just a scarred soul that experienced Palace politics since young. She gets into a love triangle with her half brothers but realises that love is useless compared to actual power and the throne; decides that she's going to make her oppa the King because he can't make up his mind. After the Palace gets messed up by a 21st century girl, Yeonhwa decides that her oppa is a lost case and wants to be the mother of the next King instead so she eventually marries the male lead and bears him a sickly son. Obviously the King pays her and their son no attention but she's stronger and smarter than that so they're still married even if he yearns for his love. Leaves a legacy as Queen Daemok in the end.
TLDR: Spoilt but smart princess that outshone her brothers in a Palace fight but still remained a raw and scarred soul because of her fate and family.
